Abstract

Complex aerobatics is a difficult performance in which the pilots are loaded with high
acceleration and consequently some physiological changes will occur in human body. It
has been reported that more ACTH and endorphin are secreted concomitantly by
pituitary gland during stress(1). It has also been reported that the effects of
leucine-enkephalin(LEK) and neurotension(NT) might be similar because they are
produced by the same areas in brain(2). The variations of pleasma ACTH, LEK and NT
levels of pilots before and after aerobatics were determined and their significance were
studied in this report.
